The annual members' night was held again on May 7. The main purpose of this event is to allow new and established members to meet socially away from the chess board. Some two dozen members attended the function in the UAC bar where a drink and a bite of food were available.
This was followed by a blitz event in the club room. Martin Schmidt won the Senior section and Davide Cesaro won the Junior. As organiser, Davide generously declined his prize and donated it to the runner-up.
